Spacing data required to undertake the design of escape route lighting in a building. The tables give the maximum distance between luminaires to achieve either (1) 0.2 Lux (minimum allowed in permanently unobstructed escape route) (2) 1 Lux the preferable level in defined escape routes (3) 0.5 Lux in open area lighting (also known as anti panic lighting) at various mounting heights.
