Wireless Detection
Gent by Honeywell offers a range of wireless detection options with automatic detectors that incorporate heat, optical,and dual optical with heat technologies, similar to the wired S-Quad sensor range.
Mounted on a wireless base, sensors communicate with wirelss transceivers without the need to install wired circuits. This delivers savings in installation cost and disruption especially in historic buildings or where wires may not be used for any other reason.
Maintenance costs are kept to a minimum with a five-year battery life on all devices, and an early warning battery failure system allows for maintenance visits to be planned in advance.
Wireless system survey tools provide a a means to evaluat optimum positioning of devices. With a transmission range of up to 300m in free space the system is capable of being sited in most applications overcoming many problems that the building fabric and layout may pose.
The wireless offering is only available for the Vigilon System and is not compatible with Nano.
